Committeeman
The Cherokee County ASC Com-
mittee has received additional
funds for Soil Bank Acreage Re-
serve, according to Mr. J. M. Vin-
ing, in an interview today. These
funds will be used to sign up Ac-
reage Reserve agreements for far-
mers who want to put all or part
of their Cotton Allotment in the
Soil Bank.
The final date for signing Acre-
age Reserve agreements is Friday,
March 1, 1957 stated Mr. Vining.
Cotton allotment acreage put in
the Soil Bank can not be grazed
from January 31, 1957 until Jan-
uary 1, 1958, and no crops may
be harvested on this acreage.
