Another thing, when you order cotton out ahead of time and without letters
of credit you naturally decrease your collateral on hand and the unpaid invoices on
Saturday night, which included barter and escrow transactions, amounted to 1,109,000.00.
Cash arrival invoices unpaid amounted to approximately $500,000.00. Naturally, the
unpaid invoices decrease your collateral on hand and which invoices cannot very
conveniently be used as collateral with the banks.
It is necessary to switch collateral almost daily to keep the proper
collateral with each bank.44
