Indians Meet
Tyler Friday Night
J'VILLF, — The Jacksonville In-
dians take on the Tyler tee Rebels
Friday night at the Tomato Bowl
at 7:30 pm in their final home
game of the season.
Coach Dick Sheffield reports
that his Indians are in good condi-
tion for the game and that he is
concentrating hi* workouts this
week on improving the offense.
He expects the Rebels to give the
Indians a tough battle. The only
casualty on the squad is Grady
Rountree, quarterback who is out
for the season with a fractured col-
larbone received in the Kilgore
came.
The Indians go into this district
contest in third place in confer
ence standings with 2 wins and 2
losses. On the season's record the
Indians have 3 wins and 5 losses
having played a very tough pre-
! conference schedule.
Robert E. tee will be out for
their first District win when they
meet the Indians. They have lost
all three games that they have
played in conference play so far
this year, and have only a win
over Palestine on their record of
seven games
This is only the second year for
the new Tyler school and Coach
Willie "Shorty" Sirman's crew has
a lot of talent but have been un
able to jell into < winning team.
The Rebels have fifteen lettermen
back from last year's team
