Committee met recently. They
made final plans for the 4 H acti
vities for Cherokee County in 1W>1
and they formulated the 1961 year
book. The committee did an ex
cellent job and thanks to their
efforts, the 1961 yearbook will be
completed by December 20, 1960.
| These yearbooks will be distributed
to local club members and adult
leaders at their January meeting.

which will be held at Waco. The
contestants will model their dresses
in the Drawing Room of the Union
Building on the Baylor University
| Campus, Saturday, December 17th
This Make It Yourself With Wool
Contest is sponsored by the Am
erican Wool Council and the Wo-
man's Auxiliary to the National
Wool Grower's Association and has
| as its objective to encourage Ameri
can girls to sew with American
loomed wool fabric.
The winner of the district con
test will go to the State Finals
which will be held at Texas Wo-
man's University, Denton in Jan
uary of 1961.
Syble E. Darby, New Summer-
field 411 Club Member, has been
in 4 11 club work for five years
and has had clothing as one of
[her principal projects. She makes
all of her clothes and sews for
others. Syble enjoys designing her
¡ dresses and says that "sewing is
relaxing after a hard day of school
activities."
Syble is the first 411 club girl
from Cherokee County to enter
the Make It Yourself With Wool
Contest.
Ponta heard Mrs Ed Ratcliff,
a world traveler, tell the lack of
Christmas in other countries. A
ehristmas luncheon was served to
25 members, husbands and friends.
A nativo pine tree decorated with
many interesting home made de-
corations was a center of conver-
sation, especially when the gifts
were taken from it
Mrs. Roy Pughs' spacious living
room was the setting for the Covo
Springs - Reese Christmas pro-
gram of a gift exchange to secret
pals, friends and guests.
The greater part of the social
hour was spent in a good old fash-
ion visiting with those who are not
seen too often,
