An article in yesterday's TRIBUNE recited that Galves-
tonians represent one-third of the patients at the hospital.
Could you furnish me, in my capacity as Chairman of the Medical
College Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, data as to how
many of the 3,141 "part or no pay patients" were residents cf
the city cf {a lvc ton as my c t C cott y of Galvestc ?
Further, can ycu avise hctw the jaymcnt -or carita fcr
indigent patients paid by the county of Galveston compares with
the payments made by such patients that are sent in from any
neighboring county?
Last but not least, have you data which shows how many
patients for which the county of Galveston pays come from the
mainland as compared to those who come from our city limits here?
