To be titled "Holiday Home")
the Christmas flower show spon-
sored by the Daffodil Club, is de-
signed for the public's enjoyment
and to create interest in beauti-
fication of the home during the
holiday season. The event is slat-
ed the first week of December in
Fellowship Hall of First Methodist
Church. The specific dates anil
hours will be announced later.
Refreshments were served by
the hostess as club members ar-
rived for the Friday meeting.

Leaves For
WMU Assembly
Mrs. Beatrice Watson, secretary
of First Baptist Church was to
leave Wednesday night by bus for
a trip to Glorieta, New Mexico,
where she will attend the WMU
Week at Glorieta Baptist Assem-
bly.
The event is calendared for
July 23-29. Mrs. Watson expects
to return July 30th.

Official organization of the
"herujkee Wildlifv Association was
with the election of officers and
directors. Two previous meetings
were held, leading to the esta-
blishment oí a local group which
would have as its purpose these
aims: to provide nn oryartration
through which the land owner andi
the sportsman can better under
stand each other's problems;
to promote programs to create in-
terest in fish and wildlife conser-
vation; and to educate youth to
the importance of our natural re-
sources.
Officers elected to serve one
year are: president. Jack Stone
of Wells; vice president. W. G.
Dominy of Wells; secretary, John
Bill Slover of Rusk; treasurer,
Ed Kennon of Jacksonville: pub-
licity and entertainment. Lewis
Thomas of Alto, E. R. Hicks of
Wells, Ike Daniel of Rusk and
Royce Beall of Jacksonville; le-
gal advisor. Rex Nichols.
The organization was launched
with 28 members, and optimism
for many more. Membership re-
quirements specify that all ages
may join, both men and women,
however only those over 21 years
of age may vote. It is also manda-
tory that members comply with
state and federal game and fish
tides .
Dues for adults are $1 Ot) an-
nually, and junior members 50
cents annually, with membership
cards to be issued on payment of
dues.
In other guid"s for operation,
it was notiJ that officers are
elected for one year terms. Dir-
ectors are to serve for three
years, with four new directors to
be elected each year. Charter
directors, who with the officers
comprise the governing bedy.

The formation of this association
was the outgrowth of much pre-
liminary groundwork by Jack
Tisdale, State Game W arde n.
"Long range accomplishments of
value are expected from the ef-
forts of Warden Tisdale. and th
other charter members of the As-
sociation." commented president
Stone.
"We sincerely welcome all per-
sons interested in supporting the
aims of our group to attend the
meetings, and become one of us
in our endeavor," he added.
