ams. She also visited with Mr. i
and Mrs. James McLain and other
relatives and friends.

ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wilson, i
Sgt. and Mrs. Jinnmie H. Brew-
er and family left Friday for
Fort Polk, La. where they will j
make their home. Sgt. Brewer j
has been serving in the armed j
services in Germany for several i
years and he and his family have j
been visiting her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Burke Rogers and his
parents of Gallatin and other
relatives and friends for the past
month.
Jackie Rogers, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Thurman Rogers, is visit-
ing his sister, Mrs. Ken Barber
and family in Dalla s. This
week they will vacation in Den-
ver, Colorado and look at the snow
capped mountains while wc .swel-
ter down here in Texas.
Mrs. Jim Wilson and Mrs. Gor-
don Rogers of Nacogdoches left-
Monday morning by car to go
to San Francisco, California, for
a two weeks visit with Mrs. Wil-
son's daughter and her family,
Mr. and Mrs. Stan Hardvvick, Bec-
ky and Jim Tim.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Murphy:
of Dayton are here this week vis-
iting Mrs. Murphy's parents, Mr
and Mrs. Mark Adams. We are
sorry to report that Mrs. Adams
has been ill for several days. We
wish for Mrs. Adams a speedy
recovery.
Mr. anil Mrs. Frazier Fugua,
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Griffith spent
the weekend in Dallas with Mr.
and Mrs. Gene Griffith, Donna
and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mc-
Murray and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Haney and
family of Brazoria; Mr. and Mis
Larry Bullock of Grafton, Ohio
are currently visiting Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Haney. Billy Fred,
Linda and Mr. Maivin Haney.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Holhrook
and Linda Ix-e of Tyler spent Sat-
urday witjh Mr. and Mrs. Efton
Heath.
Mrs. Lois Harvey has returned
to her home in Dallas after living
at her farm home and entertain
ing her children anil grandchil-
dren at various times during the
past several weeks. Mrs. Lisa
Scott, Pam, Bubba and Tim re-
mained for a longer vacation.

Sardis To
Begin Week's
Revival Sun.
August 16 has been calendared
for the beginning of a one week
revival at the Sardis Baptist
Church. Services each evening
at 7:45 will be held with Rev. R.
A. Covington preaching.
Members of the community in-
vite everyone to attend the wor-
ship seivices and join in the
special music services, and hear'
the inspirational messages.
Visitors will receive a cordial
welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. Thorleif Jorgen-
son of Houston spent the week-
end at their home here, and at
tended the Lions Club Rodeo.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Priest,
Jerry and Bunny of Dallas visited
with his mother, Mrs R. C. Priest |
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Travis had

their son Ronnie, a student at
