With Baby Sitters
Wednesday after school the Ta-
wankizu Camp Fire girls met at
Mrs. J. Q. Chapman’s home. After
roll call the girls chose three group
members to baby sit at P-TA
Thursday. Each month three dif-
ferent members will baby sit the
pre-school children at P-TA.
After refreshments, new mem-
bers selected their Indian names
and games were played and the
group sang till closing time. The
closing song was selected by Ric-
ky Allen.

on Oct 27, and several members

the clothing leader, Mrs. J. W. Vin-

Completes Scout
Charter Application
The Irving school P-TA com-
pleted application today for a
charter from the National Council,
Boy Scouts of America, to contin-
ue the program of Cub Scouting in
their work with boys. The P-TA
has sponsored Cub Pack 219 for
the past 10 years.
Mrs. G. V. Pritchard is presi-
dent of the P-TA, and Joe Falken-
bury will represent the P-TA on
the Hill-Johnson District commit-
tee. Harold E. Fowler is pack com-
mittee chairman; Marian Horton,
Jack Wylie, and Paul A. Corbin,
committee members; Billy C.
Schick is Cubmaster; and Eddie

Five students took part in a brief
program celebrating the P-TA bir-
thday with Mrs. Don Clements as
ommentator. A decorated table
was complete with a birthday cake
vith seven candles. A poem, “Tea-
chers” was presented by Mrs. Cle-
ents.
Concluding portion of the pro-
jram was a talk on the teacher
retirement amendment by Mrs.
