the nurses and a huge birthday

to seventy guests.

daughter ef Mr and Mrs Harold James Griffith, of Dallas, was
baptized last Sunady morning at the First Presbyterian Church
in Graham, she was the youngest of five generations who were
present for the ceremony Her mother, the former Frances
Johnson, of Midland, is the daughter of Mrs G. B. Johnson.
Jr Mrs Johnson is the former Suzanne Larmour of Graham,
and her mother, Mrs M W Larmour is the former Nora Cope
land daughter of Mrs Sam Copeland of Graham So, at the
service were the child, her mother, her grandmother, her
great grandmother and her great great grandmother

ley ot Fort Worth, Joe Lindley
of Graham, Mrs. H. T. Card-
well and Mrs. Harley Hender-

Mr. Lindley has been a res-
ident of the Golden Age Home
for three years.
Mr. Lawson H. Kemp, 73,
was born February 12, 1893
at Energy, Comanche County
and came to Young County in
1912.
He lived in the Murray com-
munity until moving to the Gol-
den Age Home in October, 1965.
Mr. and Mrs. J. 1. Moody
visited last week in Lufkin,
Texas with their daughter, Mrs.
Gilmer Spring and family. They
were accompanied byMrs.R.L.
Schlittler who visited her sis-
ter, Mrs. Lewis Rodgers and
husband.

Mrs. Ella Malone, 87, was
born February 4, 1879 infoung
County. Her parents are the
late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bur-
nett. She married the late J.E.
(Bud) Malone in 1901 at Med-
ian Chapel and made their home
seven miles north ot Eliasville.
She moved to Graham in 1934
and has been a resident at the
Golden Age since December,
1962.
Mrs. Malone has a daughter,
Mrs. Laura Mask of Azle, Tex-
as.

W. R. Hill, retired farmer,
was born in Jack County Feb-
ruary 22, 1879, he will be 87
years of age on his birthday. He
has been a resident in the Gol-
den Age Home since it was first
opened, having moved here from
the Golden Age Home in Jacks-
boro.
Mr. Hill has three children,
Mrs. Dorothy Goldston of Gra-
ham, Travis Hill of Bryson, and
Billie Bird of Mount Pleasant
His daughter, Mrs. Goldston
and three nieces, Mrs. Emma
Avant and Mrs. Minnie Coley,
both pf Jacksboro and Mrs.
Ruby Cowden of Graham, were
present at the birthday celebra-
tion Sunday at the Golden Age
Home.

Meet Thursday
The Crestview Mother’s Club
will meet Thursday, February
17 at 9:30 a.m. in the Crestview
Cafetorium.
Coffee and donuts will be
served from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Camp, chairman, Peggy Van-
arsdale, Marie Hannah, Mrs.
Marvin Richards, Frances Lo-
gan, and Betty Lindley. Assist-
ing the Girl Scouts with baby-

The Red Top Home Demon-
stration Club met on February
2 in the home of Mrs. E. B. Pet-
ty. This was a make-up meeting
due to bad weather.

Bills called the meeting to order
by reading a poem, “You Can
Be Friendly!"
Roll call was answered with

The club voted to contribute
to “March of Dimes."
Mrs. R, L. Tiffin brought
the program on “Consumer
Buying.” With each member
taking part in the discussion
and ideas.
Refreshments were served to
eight members.
The Red Top Home Demon-
stration club met with Mrs.
Matilda Thigpen on February 8.
The president, Mrs. L. G.
Bills, called the meeting to or-
der. The group Joined in sing-
ing our club song, "Ever On-
ward."
