I consider it a compliiLent to se zavited tc iear the addrevc
to the Kiwanis Club by my personal friend Mr. Ben H. Wooten. However,
I am leaving tomorrow for Washington to attend the 50th anniversary
of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States, to which I have been
especially invited and pointed out as one of the three survivors of
the Chamber's first board of directors. The ceremonies last the bet cr
part of the week. On my return I am scheduled to attend the annlial
convention of the Texas Bankers Association here in Galvesto;.
These two programs constitute the prospects of a physical
tax upon one of my age, so I am really at the moment not prepared to
accept the invitation, though I entertain the Wexc of   ei   abic to
