Talbert, pastor of the First Baptist Church, prepares for
his long-waited trip to the Holy Land, Rev. Talbert's
"dream come true" begins Monday night, August 25th and
will conclude September 8th. During the tour. Rev. Tal-
bert will visit Cairo, Beirut, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Athens,
Rome and many other places of interest. The tour will

of Rusk, will depart Monday,
August 25 on a Christian So-
journ to Europe and the Bible
Lands. The trip will be made
through the Wholesale Tours
International and the Royal
Dutch Urlines and will be ho-
sted by missionaries Carlos
and Vivian Gruber.
The trip for the local pas-
tor is being made possible
through the cooperation of the
members of the church. Rev.
Talbert said. "I shall be
eternally grateful to the
thoughtful Christian people
who are sharing the finance
pf this trip. It will be a
memorable two weeks forme,
as I am privileged to walk the
paths where Jesus walked.
Surely, a tip to the Bible Lands
is the equivalent of a dozen
seminary or college Bible
courses, I covet the prayers
of my Christain friends as I
travel to Cairo, Beirut, Tel
Aviv, Jerusalem, Athens and
Rome."
The tour begins with an ev-
ening flight from New York's
JFK International Airport
Monday night and will land in
Cairo. During the tour Rev.
Talbert will visit Cairo, Bei-
rut, Baalbek, Nicosia, Tel
Aviv, Nazareth, Capernaum,
Sea of Galilee, Nablus, Se-
bastla, Jordan River, Jeri-
cho, Dead Sea, Jerusalem,
Bethlehem, Mt. of Olives,
Gethsemane, Athens,Cornith,
Rome and Amsterdame. The
tour will end in New York on
September 8th.
