RUSK THIMBLE CLUB
Mrs, Vernle Mlnter will host
the next meeting of the Rusk
Thimble Club on September
17th. This group of ladles
meet the first and third Wed-
nesday of each month for sew.

WEDNESDAY SOCIAL CLUB
The Wednesday Social Club
was to hold Its first regular
meeting Wednesday, Septem-
ber l&h at the Pineview Rest-
aurant with Mrs. Allen Brew-
ster as hostess. Officers
of the chib are President,
Mrs. J. E. Wallace; Vice
President, Mrs. W. W. Pin-
ley; Secretary, Mrs. Jack
Plnson; and Treasurer, Mrs.
G. H. Thomas. This club
meets the second Wednesday
of each month.
LIBRARY STUDY CLUB
"Challenges of Today" Is the
year's study theme for mem-
bers of the Library Study
Club. Mrs. Esther MaeDur-
rett, president, Is assisted

Wednesday of each month, at
the Singletary Memorial Li-

Beginning Day traditionally
launches Beta Sigma Phi
members in a new year, and
this chapter observed the day
August 18th at the home of
Mrs. Joy Slover. The first
regular meeting of the sor-
ority was held September 8th
at the home of Irma Wallace.
Sorority officers are; Presi-
dent Jessie Mathews; Vice
President, Helen Gulllon; Re-
cording Secretary, Irma Wal-
lace; Treasurer, Mary Hol-
comb, Corresponding Sec-
retary, Nancy Florlan; City
Council Representative, Ger-
aldine Struhall; City Coun-
cil Alternate, Joy Slover; Ex-
tension Officers, Gloria Jen-
nings; and Director, Madeline
Morgan. This chapter meets
the first and third Monday of
each month.

SIGMA PHI
Mrs, Opal Fitts is new presi-
dent of the XI Epsllon Kappa
Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi
for the coming year. Other

surer. Highlight of the club
year will be the annual flower
show which will be held Ap-
ril 24, 1970 with the theme
''Flower Frolic".
