wright, deceased, amongst the heirs of said M. Cartwright the following lands in the
Counties of Bastrop, Cooke, Lavis, Denton, Fannin, Gonzales, Hardin, Hopkins, Hunt
Jefferson, Kaufman, Marion, Panola, Runnels, Shelby, San Augustine, Travis, Upshur
and Good in the State of Texas, were drawn by a. P. Cartwright son of said Matthew

J. C. Minter’s Survey; or one thir dof the same block running East and West on the
North side of Block No. 5 and immediately adjoining the Seminary grounds. This
Block No . 5 is on the Northwestern half of one-third of a League granted to Calvin
Barker by Patent from the Republic of Texas, No. 270, dated June 4th, 1841 A. L.
But more particularly distinguished in the plat surveyed by Mr. Minter as Block No.
5 containing one and nine-tenths of an acre. Beginning 60 feet South, 60 East from
the South-east corner of Lot No. 4. Thence South 60° East 200 feet to a stake;Thence h
30° East 276; Thence South 60° on the S line of Parsons Seminary lot, 60 feet from
the S. E. corner of said Seminary lot. Thence N. 60° N. 200 feet to a stake. Thence
S. 30° N. 276 feet to the beginning. The f ive-twelft hs of an acre that I, A. L.
Wildbahn do this day bargain, sell and convey to said Octavia Bittie, her heirs and
assigns, forever, iS on the North side of the aforementioned one and 9/9 of an acre
block No. 5, running ast and West. And I, a. L. Wildbahn do, hereby covenant with
five Dollars to me paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day
