Lufkin this Fall according
to Dr. Lesta N. Burt,
Director of Sam Houston's
Library Science Depart-
ment.
A course necessary for
School Librarian Certif-
ication, L.S. 475 (365),
school Library Functions
and Materials, will be
taught on Tuesday evening
1 from 6 to 9 p.m. by Dr.
Clyde Greve al the Ange-
lina Junior College Li-
brary. Both undergraduate
and graduate students may
take this course. It may
apply to the Master ot
Library Science degree.
The cost for three hours
is $74. This course will
receive regular, not exten-
sion, credit. Registration
will be held Tuesday,
September 9th, the first
day of class, at the
Angelina Junior College
Library.
It is anticipated that

will continue to be offered

More than 80 entries
were received in the first
week of the Cherokeean's
annual Football Contest
sponsored by Rusk
merchants.
Two tie ballgames, West-
wood and Brownsboro and
Teague and Blooming
Grove, benefited many
gridiron guessers. Local
fans supporting the Rusk
Eagles and the Dallas
Cowboys lost these two
most often.
First place was won by
John C. Williams III of
Rusk and he will receive
the $7.50 prize money. Bill
Penix of Nacogdoches will
receive the second place
prize money of $5. The $3
goes to Miss Beaulah Allen
of Rusk for third place.
