FAMILY REUNION HELD
The Friendship Needle Club held
a regular meeting on June 8 in the
home of Mrs. Dessie Helm. Mrs.
Verna Whatley presided at the
business session in the absence of
Mrs. Eulice Monroe, club presi-
dent. Resignation of Mrs. W. S.
Jones as secretary and treasurer
was accepted and Mrs. Othelle
Driskill was appointed to fill out
the unexpired term. The club ex-
presses regret that Mrs. Jones is
leaving our community and hopes
she will be happy in her new home. {
The afternoon was spent in con-
versation and needlework. A de-i
licious plate of chiffon cake and
pink lemonade was served to Mes-
dames Willie Ragsdale, Othelle
Driskill, Blanche Harris, Mamie
Ritter, Blanche Gray, Norene Cul-
ver, Hannah Keeter, Bertha Jones,
Grace Henderson, Verna Whatley,
Minnie Eschle, Neva Burgin, Alice
Ward, Gladys Fields and the host-
ess Mrs. Dessie Helm.
Mrs. Jones plans to entertain the
club in her home in Amarillo in
September.
