A 4-H Club dress revue was held
at Panhandle Tuesday afternoon,
July 25 and was attended by sev-
eral 4-H Club members from
Groom, accompanied by their lead-
ers and others. Groom girls attend-
ing and modeling the garments
they have made this summer in-
cluded Patricia Hunt who received
second place for her blouse entry
and Jane Hudson who won second
on a skirt she had made. Other

The meeting, is being promoted
by Masonic lodges in District 52,
95, 96, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102 and 103
in Texas. Principal speaker for
the huge Masonic gathering will be
Robert L. Dillard Jr., deputy grand
master of Texas Masons, of Dal-
las. Several other officers from
the Grand Lodge of Texas are ex-
pected to attend the affair along
with other past officers and visit-
ing dignitaries.
Mr. Dillard, vice president and
general counsel for Southland Life
Insurance Co., in Dallas rceived
the highest honor conferred by the
Scottish Rite of Free Masons in
1953 when he was coroneted a 33rd
degree, honorary inspector gener-
al. He was born in Corsicana and
attended school in Wichita Falls.
He holds degrees from Souttiern
Methodist and Harvard universi-
ties.
Masons are expected to begin
gathering in Skellytown shortly af-
er noon Saturday. The Pampa
Shrine Club will start serving a
barbecue supper at 6 p.m. and the
program is scheduled to start at
8 p.m.
H. L. Biggers, secretary of the
Skellytown Masonic Lodge No. 1391
says that Master Masons who wish
to attend the meeting and have not
already done so are urged to con-
tact their lodge secretaries at once
for necessary information.
