Livestock Show in Pampa Tuesday
with his 226-pound Chester White
barrow named Rob. The barrow
was also named reserve grand
chamipon in the Gray County Live-
stock show held Saturday.
Terry, an eighth grade student in
Groom Public School, is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cornett.
The prize barrow brought $1.00
per pound at the auction sale held
Wednesday morning.

man was given medical attention
but after being searched and plac-
ed in a cell he slashed both wrists
with a pen knife that officers be-
lieved he must have had concealed
in one of his shoes. He was brought
to the Groom Memorial Hospital
by ambulance and several stitches
were required to repair the damage
to his wrists. The man remained
overnight in the hospital under
guard and strapped to his bed.
Tuesday morning he was taken by
ambulance to the state hospital at
Wichita Falls. Deputy Sheriff

Funeral services for W. L. Bul-
lard, 55, were held at College
Heights Baptist Church in Plain-
view at 10 a.m. Monday with the
Rev. John Traylor, pastor, officiat-
ing. Mr. Bullard died at 7:40 a.m.
Friday.
Mr. Bullard had resided in Plain-
view since 1938 when he moved
there from Lelia Lake. He was
