brary of Groom sponsored the third
story hour of the summer season
at the Community Club House on
Wednesday morning, June 21. Sev-
enty-two children and five adults
attended and enjoyed the story of
“Willy Nilly the Penguin,” told by
Mrs. Max Ray Faulkner.
Mrs. Charles Burk entertained [
with a story about “A Brave Little
Indian.” She retold the story and,
the children pantomimed it under [
Mrs. Burk’s direction.
Mrs. Reba King and Mrs.
Frances Stamps showed the films
of “Hansel and Gretel,” and "Mex-
ico, the Land and the People.” I
Friday, June 30, the annual read-1
ing program picnic will be held ati
6 p.m. in the city park at White
Deer. A school bus will furnish;
the transportation for the Groom'
children who are reminded to be
at the Groom Library at 5:30 p.m.,
; if they plan to attend the picnic.
Each child should bring a sack
lunch. Drinks will be furnished
by the libraries of the county.
