Ar. James A. Tinsley Department of history University of Houston Houston, Texas bear Mr. Tinsley: I have yours of the 12th. I appreciate the timue and trouble taken by you to write me so clearly in the premises. I should be delighted to have you come down to Galveston and acquaint us with the aims and objectives of the association. If the purpose of your visit would be to gather material, such as you have outlined, of business records and other source material dealing with the business and economic history of this section of the State, while I shall be glad to see you it would probably be more fruitful for you to confer with my brother, Mr. D. W. Kempner, who has kept a scrap book of matters affecting our firm for many years past. he, however, is not at all well and frequently does not come down to the office here in the afternoon. I think he or I could see you almost any morning if you would simply phone us a couple of days ahead. Our Galveston office is listed in the Houston telephone directory and you can call during buIness hours without any expense to you. At the moment it seems that the miore convelien time to us to have a meeting would be some time during the iast week in Januar-. Our office is on the eleventi floor of the Urite atci National bank Building. .tt best wishes, I remain Yours very truly ,
