group of one hundred and thirty-
four highly qualified applicants.
She is very proud of the scholar-
ships and it is a great honor to
be chosen from such a high num-
ber.
She will have fun on the cam-
pus of the Texas Women’s Uni-
versify this summer and meet
new friends. It will also prove to
be a very profitable and enjoy-
able experience for Suzette.
Other students of CHS who
took the test with Suzette and
might receive scholarships are
Ricky Ray, Betsy Ross, Bobby
the same test as Suzette and
Williams, Dennis Shaw and Suz-
anne Shinn.

The pins have the FHA emblem
on them with the chain and
guard.
The charms are also the FHA
emblem; they come in both gold
and silver. The emblem is an oc-
tagon and in the center is a
man's and woman’s hands hold-
ing up a house. Future Home-
makers of America is written
around the house.
Later some of the other chap-
ter members will receive FHA
rings.
