Exchange Vows
Mrs. Merle Knowles became
the bride of George Williams in
a ceremony performed on April
1 in the Oak Grove Baptist
Church before family and close
friends. Rev. O. C. Robinson,
pastor, and Rev. W. A. Corley,
pastor of the Crossroads Baptist
Church read the vows at 7 p. m.
The bride chose a blue dress
and wore a corsage of white
mums.
Mr. and Mrs. Adrian
Chamblee were the honor at-
tendants.
A reception followed in the
Chamblee home. The bride’s
table was laid with a white lace
cloth over blue, centered with
an arrangement of blue and
white flowers. A three-tiered
wedding cake, trimmed in blue,
complimented the table along
with a punch service. Presiding
at the table were Miss Kathy
Chamblee and Miss Gretta
Corley.
Mrs. Venita Collins registered
the guests.
After a week’s wedding trip to
Arkansas and Oklahoma, the
couple is making thier home in
Canton.
