William H. Rasbury, 75, of
Terrell, was dead on arrival
at a Terrell hospital Friday
morning following a sudden
illness.
Mr. Rasbury was a retired
painter and a member of the
College Mound Methodist
Church. He had lived in the
Blackjack Community for the
past 40 years.
Funeral services were at 2
p. m. Sunday, March 10, in the
Eubank Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in College Mound
Cemetery near Terrell.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Beatrice Rasbury of
Terrell; three sons, Guy W.
Rasbury of Miami, Florida,
James Edward Rasbury of
Irving and John Hardy
Rasbury of Escanaba,
Michigan; three daughters,
Mrs. Mary Washburn of
Sherman and Mrs. Jerry
Wood of Terrell; a brother,
Moss Rasbury of Terrell; a
sister, Ruby Moyer of Azle; 19
grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.

Genealogical meeting will be
held in the Arnold Hobby Hall,
Saturday, March 16, at 2 p. m.
in Quitman.

in a panel discussion on the
“Most Common Errors in
Genealogical Research and
Ways They Can Be Avoided.”

Bray, has announced an
executive meeting

Local delegates have been
named to represent Van
Zandt County at the district
five spring meeting of the
Texas Home Demonstration
Association, according to
Miss Lucille Watson, county
extension agent.
The THDA session will be
staged Tuesday, March 12, at
the Southwest Center in
Texarkana with Mrs. C. W.
Croft of Longview, district
chairman, presiding.
Delegates will include Mrs.
Hortense Wilcoxson, Board-
Elwood Home Demonstration
Club; Mrs. Mary Seale,
Edgewood Home Demon-
stration Club, and Mrs. Edna
Jacobs, Watskins Home
Demonstration Club. Alter-
i ites are Mrs. Irene Patter-
son, Canton Home Demon-
stration Club; Mrs. Betty
Haddix, Myrtle Springs Home
1 monstration Club; and
Mrs. Zora Murphree, Pruitt
Home Demonstrtion Club.
Also attending will be ap-
proximately 15 to 20 other
home demonstration club
members from Van Zandt
County, with approximately
200 THDA members and
guests expected to attend
from the 19 counties com-
prising extension district five.
Registration is scheduled
from 9:30 a. m. to 3:30 p m.
