Regardless of whether or not our candidates all
got majorities in the primary, we will now get together
to put the fair over by a big majority.

Wade Everidge says there ought to be a good prise
at the fair for the winner of a two cylinder flivver race
by entries from outside of Comanche. It’s a good sugges-
tion. Of course he wants a big flivver race in which the
Comanche cars will take place too.
There is a feeling among the people in many com-
munities in Comanche that the fair this year can and will
be made one of the best in any county in Central Texas.
You never saw a better year for a fair than you
find in Comanche county this vear.

TO THE PEOPLE OF
COMANCHE COUNTY]
-2
I I wish to thank the people of this
I county for the votes they gave me j
9 in the election Saturday and the
I treatment accorded me during my
I recent cafpaign for county clerk.
I tried to conduct my campaign
I on high plane and made the race on
I my own merits without criticising.
I my opponents, all of whom are good
a people. I appreciate the treatment
I and consideration they gave me and
I hope that I have retained their
I friendship as well as the respect and
I friendship of the people in the coun-
l ty. My defeat leaves me in n good
I humor. I feel that I am fully quall-
I fled for the place and feel that the
I voters realise this, but I yield to the
I Democratic majority.
I Again thanking the goo people
I of Comanche County, I am,
Sincerely,
f H. F. HOWINGTON.
