A plan for the building of a
municipal hospital has been put be-
fore the City Council and the School
Board by converting the present
East Side School building into (a
hospital. -
Architectural estimates have al-
ready been secured and it is found
that approximately thirteen thous-
and dollars would be required to
convert the building into a nineteen
ward hospital with reception halls
operating rooms etc.
It is found that the building is
rather easily adapted to such a
[change owing to the fact that it is
built in "wings" and with a wide
hallway for staircase and elevator,
looms. The. location .of course is
practically ideal being high and

with plenty of grounds, already
served with the sewer und water

It is proposed that a bond issue
of $25,000 be voted which would pay
the school system twelve thousand
dollars for the building and grounds
and at which price fire existing
buildings would be cheap and which
at the same time would enable the
