Bill’s friends realized that if media
popularity is to the media’s advan-
tage, it could be just as easily the
media’s advantage not to like you.
If you want to be popular, it helps to
not call other people names.
I thought everyone knew this, but I
guess Bill and his friends do not. False
and derogatory images of people arise
from a lack of education.
The constant resurgence of these im-
ages has given cause to prejudice and
racism.
Bill’s classification of Mario Cuomo
as a “Mafioso,” was not only an insult
to Cuomo, but an insult to every per-
son with an identifiable cultural heri-
tage.
If Bill wants to be my friend, he will
stop calling me names and making me
feel like a “Spic.”
More advice: if you are going to be
married, it helps to act like you are.
If Gennifer Flowers is telling the
truth, none of Bill’s friends over the
last 12 years has cared what he has
will have on their lives.
I would have gladly bought Bill a
pair of pants without a zipper and a
cage he could lock himself in when he
got the “urge.”
Infidelity has very serious ramifica-
tions. It hints at the very character of
someone’s moral being. It gives people
a set of parameters for which judge-
ments can be made.
If I spent my life caring for small,
helpless plants and animals, I would,
in the eyes of most people be judged as
a tree-hugging Bambi lover. Since
millions of people don’t know Clinton,
there is only a limited number of rea-
sons by which we can judge him.
If I were Bill’s best friend, I would
not hesitate to be honest.
Over a few cold beers and good jokes,
I would tell him to drop out of the race.
Chances are that things are not going
to get any better for Bill. There are
others out there who, if given the chance
and the right amount of cash, will be
impossible to stop.
The wave of offensive attacks on him
and his campaign will only get more
heated as the campaign continues. He
will be forced to assume the defensive
role for the next nine months. If he
survives, but does not become the
clear leader in the Democratic field,
Cuomo or Bentsen could enter the race
and easily become a front-runner.
Therefore, Bill, save your money -
the presidency isn’t going anywhere.
These are only a few thoughts I
would have shared with Bill.I could, if
I had the time, list another ten or so.
I still like Bill Clinton, despite all
the things he’s done in the past week
and in the (checkered) past.
I hope that, when the dust clears, it
will matter to people what a politician
has stood for over his life, rather
year. Bill thought he
could clear his name,
but he forgot that he
was denying having an
affair with a beautiful
blond-haired, blue-
eyed bombshell in front
of 15 million drunk
guys. I don’t think it
was the best way to
clear his name. I guess
he thought he was be-
ing smart.
More people should
have told Bill that the
media is not going to be
nice to him because he
is confident and good
looking.
Over the last five
years, the media has
developed a protocol of
seeking out the truth
no matter what the
cost.
Gennifer Flowers, in
the eyes of the media,
justified probable
cause. They have suf-
ficient reasons to poke
and sneak around in
an effort to find the
truth.
What we see and
hear on TV is controlled
by a close-knit group of
movers-and-shakers
that will release only
the information seen fit
for our consumption.
Bill knew that he has
