Sharks remain
unbeaten; down
Lancers, 3-2
After bombing the Bom-
bers on Oct. 16 for their
fifth win of the season,
the Sharks met the Lancers
on Oct. 23 — both teams
being undefeated. The
Sharks had only two points
scored against them all
season.
The Lancers fought hard
but just couldn’t top the
Sharks. At the end of the
first half the score was 3-0.
Goals were made by Scott
Hubbard, Scott Woolley,
and Doug Beaubien with
assists by Cedric Shepherd.
The Lancers came back
strong in the second half
scoring two points. But
goalie Scott Kimberling put
an end to that by stopping
four more Lancer tries.
The final score was 3-2,
and the game was won by
the combined efforts of
all team members.
Making outstanding plays
during the game were Ricky
Myers, Shawn Warner, David
Meyer, Eddie Glaessgen,
Chip Stone, Chris Page,
Paul Spangenberger, Donnie
Cannon.
The next game will be
Saturday at 12 noon against
the Cobras.

Band needs aid
on buying horns
Help is needed in pur-
chasing some of the lar-
ger musical instruments
for the Little Elm School
Band.
Hollis McClellan, band
director, thanked area
residents for the help
given so far and added,
“Believe me, we need it.”
McClellan also said:
“Our goal right now is
to raise money so that we
may purchase some of the
larger instruments that are
essential to a well-rounded
band and that may be too
expensive for an individual
student to buy. Such in-
struments are the low
brasses (baritones and
tubas), low woodwinds
(bass clarinets, tenor and
baritone saxaphones) and
percussion instruments.”
