The under-8 division
Rams lost a tough game
Saturday. They were tram-
pled by the Rebels, 7-2.
The loss gave the Rams,
coached by Dennis Lambert
and Mark Kozacek, a re-
cord of 1-2 for the season.
The Rams will meet the
76ers next week.
In Saturday’s game, the
Rams started off in great
shape. The Rebels scored
first, but the fighting Rams
retaliated and scored
quickly on a great drive
down the field by Alan
Bauman.
The second half of play
by the Rams lacked the
intensity of the first half.
The Rams seemed to have
run out of steam. A goal by
David Bolding brought the
scoring for the Rams to an
end for the day. The Rebels
went on to score five goals
in the second half.
Players for the Rams are
Jeremy Bakker, Alan Bau-
man, David Bolding, Jeff
Brown, Brian Devlin, Nat-
han Dodds, Christopher
Firebaugh, Corey George,
David Kozacek, Eric Lam-
bert, Jackie Lyle, James
Robinson, J. T. Sponsler
and Deke Welling.

After careful scientific research on the subject of single
sexuality (namely conversation with one acquaintance and
extensive observation of my pet dog), I have contrived 10
truisms for “the dating game”:
1—Never introduce yourself with your real name. That
way, you can’t be traced.
2—When asked about your occupation, always say what
you’d rather be instead of what you’re actually doing. That
tells more about who you are, anyway.
3—When asked where you’re from, name some small
town in Ohio. After an awkard “Oh,” that’s always the
end of the conversation.
4 Never tell a dirty joke. If they do appreciate them,
they’ve already heard it. If they don’t, they don’t want to
hear it.
5 Don’t order a drink according to what you like;
instead order on the basis of the impression you’d like to
make. If you want to be cute and superficial, ask for a
strawberry daquiri. If you want to be trendy, order a
marguerita. If you want to be “with it” but slightly
out-of-date, try a tequila sunrise or pina colada. If you
can’t stand the taste of alcohol, and want to give the
impression of a soft touch, order a rum and Coke. If you
want to get serious, then bourbon and water is the ticket.
And for all you macho men (or women), it’s scotch on the
rocks. Order a beer only if you wish to be ignored.
6 Don’t try to break the ice by dancing. If the two of
you are no good at it, you’re too embarrassed to go any
further. If you’re great at it, that’s all you’ll do.
Don’t make your arrangements conditional on your
friends. Let them fend for themselves. It’s a cold world out
there.
8—Don’t fight for the ticket. If they’re stupid enough to
pay for yours, your misguided pride will only cost you a
week’s groceries.
—Don’t wear gold chains or ask about horoscopes.
They’ll think you dropped out of a time warp.
Don’t give up. Just because you feel rejected doesn’t
mean you didn’t deserve it.

The Dynamites under-12
girls soccer team surprised
and stunned Ebby’s An-
gels, the defending under-
12 champs, 4-1, Saturday.
The under-12 Dynamites
are sponsored by Town and
Country ERA Realtors from
Lewisville. Michael Incar-
done, Glen Henderson and
Gary Davis are the coaches.
The Angels chose the
wind the first half and
applied pressure. Dyna-
mites fullbacks Sharon Da-
vis, Kim Gahlinger, Telica
Law and Stacia Marin made
numerous excellent plays.
Goalie Amy Black made
numerous excellent saves
the first half. Centerhalf
Dawn Henderson helped a
lot on defense with steals.
The second half saw for-
ward Cindy “Inky” Incar-
done tie the score at 1-1.
The Dynamites applied
consistant pressure. Half-
backs Kim Fredette, Eliza-
beth Kirch and Elizabeth
Stromberg fed the ball to
the forward line repeatedly.
Dawn Henderson made a
pass to Inky Incardone who
kicked it in to make it 2-1.
Moments later, forward
Amy Saucedo penetrated
and narrowly missed a
goal. On the following An-
gel goal kick, Beth Sihto
boomed it in for a 3-1 lead.
Beth and Dawn made
excellent plays. Inkey In-
cardone nailed her third
