Falls, Accidents and Chiropractic
One of the most serious prob-
lems each of us could face after a
fall or accident is lea ving a subaxa-
tion (misalignment) of the spine
undetected or uncorrected. When
an accident or a fall occurs, we
usually look first for serious
wounds or broken bones. We may
fail to realize an accident or fall
can jar and twist spinal vertebrae
out of their normal, natural posi-
tion. When this happens, lifegiv-
ing nerve energy becomes short-
circuited, and health problems
result.
Many times a person can trace
a health problem to an acident or
fall. Since children typically have
many falls, it is extremely impor-
tant for them to have their spines
checked regularly. During their
growing years, children are espe-
cially vulnerable to misalign-
ments of the spine resulting from
such accidents. This could also be
the start of scoliosis of the spine.
A child also could suffer from a
whiplash neckiiyuiy without the
parent's knowledge. To help chil-
dren remain healthy and strong,
their spines must be kept in proper
alignment. Many times parents
are aware of other health needs and
may not see the importance of check-
intg and maintaining spinal health.
For example, parents usually get
braces for children who have teeth'|
that ave misaligned* «Stfrely thai#
spine — which is their life line - is of (
more importance • Irnl iWf
After an accident or fall, early
warning signals to watch for are
headaches, soreness and paininthe
back or neck area, painful joints,
mental dullness, nervousness, and
difficulty sleeping. Nothing will
correct the cause ofthese symptoms
if a misalignment of the spine re-
mains. Drugs may silence the
symptoms insteadoffinding the way
to correct the cause.
If you would like to take control of
your health, get to the cause of the
problem. The next time you con-
sider taking a drug for a health
problem, ask yourself, "Will this
drug build for a better health to-
morrow?"
> Chiropractic will get to the cause
of your health problems and posi-
tion you to reach your greatest
health potential. Call for a chiro-
practic appointment today to build
for your healthier life tomorrow.
