Bowie wasn’t able to be at the
ranch but all stopped at Bowie
going and coming to see her.
Mrs; Ramsey is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wetsel
(Miss Nell Coffey). All the Wet-
sels were present except one
daughter-in-law. Number pres-
ent was 37. There are six of the
Coffey girls still living and it
was the first time they have
been together since their broth-
er, Jess Coffey, passed on. All
had a wonderful day.

Mrs. J. D. Wells of Fresno,
Calif., is visiting her sister, Mrs.
Orville McDonald, and family of
the Winningkoff community.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Funder-
burg and son, Anson of Plano,
were visiting his mother, Mrs. J.
M. Fundergurg, last Friday.
Mrs. Barbara Willis, who has
been sick at the home of her
father-in-law and mother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Willis, has re-
turned to her home at Bonham.
Kenneth Enloe, stationed in
the Army camp at San Antonio,
was on leave this week end to
be with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Enloe, and other relatives
here.
Mrs. Carrie Kerby spent last
week in Dallas with her daugh-
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Knox Herndon,
and Stevie.
Merrell Kerby of McKinney
was spending the week end with
his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hor-
ace Moore of the Winningkoff
community.
Mrs. Roena Barry and Bob at-
tended a dinner Saturday at Mc-
Kinney that was given for em-
ployees of the Pants Mfg. Co.
Mrs. Rosa Fitzhugh of Lan-
caster was recently visiting her
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bar-
ry, and other relatives here.

Dallas were visiting her mother,
Mrs. J. M. Funderburg, last Sun-

ton, is spending her vacation

Mrs. Maggie Brewer
Dies in Rest Home
Mrs. Maggie L. Brewer, 86, of
Celina, died June 9 in The Park-
view in McKinney. She was born
July 31, 1876 in Celina, Tenn.,
daughter of J. T. and Margaret
Buchanan, but had lived in Ce-
lina, Collin County, Texas, most
of her life. She was a member of
the First Christian Church. She
married H. M. Brewer October
12, 1893.
Surviving are three sons: Ben-
nie and Douglas Brewer of Ce-
lina; Sib Brewer of San Anton-
io; daughter, Mrs. Ida Thurman
of’Celina; two grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
Her husband passed away July
16, 1957.
Funeral services were held at
2:30 p. m. Monday in the First
Christian Church, Celina, Rev.
Bill Powell, officiating, with
burial in the Old Celina Ceme-
tery, Morgan-Scott in charge of
arrangements.

William J. Welborn
Dies in Hospital
William Jefferson Welborn, 59,
of Route 5, McKinney, died Mon-
day at 4:25 p. m. in Collin Me-
morial Hospital after a week’s
illness. He was born in Collin
County July 12, 1902, son of Mr.
and Mrs. A. B. Welborn. He was
a member of the Methodist
Church.
Funeral services were held at
10:30 a. m. Wednesday in Branch
Baptist Church, conducted by
Revs. W. P. Carter and Billy Joe
Harris, with burial in Wilson
Chapel Cemetery, Turrentine-
Jackson Funeral Directors in
charge.
Surviving are five sons: W. E.
(Bill) Harmon, Archie and Clay-
ton Welborn of McKinney; Doyle
Welborn of Richardson; two
brothers, Emmett Welborn, Mc-
Kinney; Bud Welborn, Dallas;
sisters, Mrs. Mattie Morris, Dal-
las; Mrs. Mollie White, McKin-
ney; and 19 grandchildren. His.
wife died in 1960.

was a deacon of the Park Street
Baptist Church in Greenville 20
years before moving to Dallas.
He was also active in Training
Union work.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs.
Hallie McLarry, Dallas; two
brothers, Claud McLarry, Bon-
ham; W. B. McLarry, Savoy; two
sisters, Mrs. Vercie Welch, Dal-
las; Ida Golden, Nobility and
several nieces and nephews.
Among the relatives attending
the services were E. C. McMur-
ray and daughter, Miss Lucille
McMurray, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Prince and Sue and Terry Prince,
Miss Mattie Lou Cooper, all of
McKinney; Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe
Wallace of Tyler.

Dies Here Monday
Mrs. Fidelia N. Myrick, 88,
died at 9:25 p. m. Monday in The
Parkview. Funeral services were
held at 3 p. m. Wednesday in
Crouch-Moore Chapel, Rev.
Ralph Burke, officiating with
burial in Forest Grove Cemetery.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
She was born August 14, 1873
in Collin County, daughter of
Jess and Elizabeth Houston Hall.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Ethel Stinson, Route 2, McKin-

Services Held Monday
Herbert I. McLarry, 75, retired
Dallas real estate agent, died at
8 p. m. Friday in Gaston Ave-
nue Hospital. He was a brother-
in-law of E. C. McMurray and
Miss Mattie Lou Cooper of Mc-
Kinney.
Funeral services were held at
11 a. m. Monday in Craig Chapel
of Gaston Avenue Baptist
Church, Dr. Marshall Craig and
Rev. Robert Heard officiating.
Burial was in Forest Park Ceme-
tery, Greenville.
He had lived in Dallas 25 years
and was a deacon in Gaston Ave-

ed at Texas Textile Mill.
J. E. Slate and family have
moved to Bonham to make their
home. They recently sold their
farm here.
Mr. and Mrs. Aldus Ballew
visited his brother in Ennis a
few days this week. On Sunday
they attended the Ballew reun-
ion at Finch Park where 80 rel-
atives of that clan registered.
Johnny Welborn and family of
Pampa are visiting his parents,

turned from a few days visit
with her son, Mr. and Mrs. Hi
