In try outs held at St. Mary's
University V.J. Keefe Field on
Sunday, October 31, the following
players were selected to a nation-
wide pool for further evaluation by
the United States Baseball Fed-
eration. Their skill and perfor-
mance in the try outs here also
makes them potential candidates
for the USA Olympic baseball
team which will compete at Doger
Stadium in Los Angeles during
early August 1984, where baseball
will be a demonstration sport.

WASHINTON, D.C.-As part of
an ongoing program to raise
awareness of current housing
issues on the nation's college
campuses, Fred Napolitano, pres-
ident of the National Association
of Home Builders, today an-
nounced a national essay contest
for college students.
"More than any other group of
Americans," Napolitano said,
"today's college students have
the most to lose if national
priorities are not set to reverse a
serious erosion in housing oppor-
tunities for the young."
Napolitano said he hoped the
contest would elicit from student
their ideas about the kind of
housing they would like to find
after graduation and the trade-offs
they would be willing to accept in
order to make housing more
affordable.
Students entering the contest
are asked to describe in 500 to
1,000 words: "What do you
expect in terms of location,
density, design and financing in
tomorrow's homes and how will
these affect your lifestyle."
Napolitano said that although
builders were already contructing
less expensive townhouses, du-
