Founder’s Day Service Project
Friday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Participate in the Holy Cross tradition of service by volunteering at one of three sites. Lunch
will be provided.
• Blunn Creek: In the spirit of Brother Daniel Lynch, CSC, who was instrumental in the
preservation of neighboring Blunn Creek, engage in a day of service working on trail
improvements, beautification and creek clean-up.
• Caritas of Austin: In the spirit of Brother William Dunn, CSC, who volunteered tirelessly
at Caritas of Austin, travel to the Caritas soup kitchen to serve food to the homeless.
• Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center: In the spirit of Father Basil Moreau, CSC, who
embraced different styles of prayer, work in the Wildflower Center garden and experience a
meditation in nature.
