COLLEGE STATION — School-
age marriages may not be wise,
yet after one becomes a fact,
adults working with the couple
have a responsibility to help them
succeed. Indications are that they
will continue to .increase in num-
bers.
So says Patsy Reynolds, Exten-
sion specialist in family life edu-
cation at Texas A&M University.
Marriage is always a time of
adjustment, she explains, regard-
less of the age of the couple.
“Add to the normal problems of
this period the disapproval and
often bitter incriminations of
parents and the load becomes al-
most . impossible for the young
couple to carry.”

auxiliary nurse to supplement the
registered nurse and licensed vo-

This has become the function of
the practical nurse and the nurses
aids.

Many high school students are
permitted to spend their summer
months working and training as
nurse aides in their local hospit-

thus learning another method of
serving humanity often leads to a
nursing career.
Aides are trained to serve in all
departments of hospitals, there-
by allowing the registered nurse
and the licensed vocational nuse
to devote their time to the more
professional nursing procedures
for which they are trained. The
practical nurse and the nurse aide
are the last but by no means the
least important member of the
hospital nursing team.
