The ladies of the county
are well known for their
outstanding cooking abili-
ties, and they are better
able to stretch their food
dollars by doing much of
their own baking and food
preservation at home. Many
of the women do their own
sewing.
The first County Fair was
held in Boerne in 1906 in the
Opera House.
On March 14, 1913, a
mass meeting was called
for the purpose of organi-
zing a Kendall County Fair
Association and on July 1st,
