Bobby Gene Halbert
Fum ir Bobby Gene Halbert,
67, of Kuok, was at 2 p.m. Wednes-
day, Dec. 23, in the Wallace-Th-
ompson Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Don Copeland and
the Rev. Steve Phillips officiating.
Burial was in the Oakland Cem-
etery.
4r. Halbert died Dec. 21 at his
home. He was born Oct. 16, 1931,
in Cherokee County and had lived
in the county most of his life. He
attended Lon Morris College and
Stephen F. Austin College. He was
a member of the Oakland Mission-
ary Baptist Church and a U.S.
Army veteran.
Mr. Halbert was preceded in
G.W.
Funeral for G.W. Ivy, 78, of Hun-
tington, was at 1 p.m. Wednesday,
Dec. 22, at the Gipson-Hunter-
Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Horace Fletcher offi-
ciating. Burial was in the Hun-
tington Cemetery.
Mr. Ivy died Dec. 20 in a Lufkin
hospital. He was born July 29,
1920, in Huntington to the late
Boliver and Effie Mae Nerren Ivy.
He was a retired fishing guide and
also worked for A.L. Collins Body
Shop. He served in the Army's
90th Division during World War
II. He was a member of the Na-
tional Rifle Association, Ducks
Unlimited and the American Coon
Hunters Association. He was a
Pentecostal and lifelong resident
death by his parents, Walter and
Carmen Halbert.
Survivors are a sister and
brother-in-law, Henda Sue and
Bobby Wayne Lankford of Rusk;
two nephews, Bobby Vincent
Lankford of Rusk and Vance
Wayne Lankford of San Angelo;
two great-nieces, Emily Lankford
and Katie Lankford, both of San
Angelo; a great-nephews, Ethan
Lankford of San Angelo; and nu-
merous other relatives.
Pallbearers were W. P. Dickson,
Vance Lankford, Vincent
Lankford, Ryan Roddie, Duke
Stewart and Steve Miller.
Ivy
of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his
brother, Edmond Ivy, a sister,
Bobbie Jean Sanders and his first
wife, Lucille Lowery Ivy.
Survivors are his wife, Sammy
Ivy of Huntington; two daughters.

Easley; four step-children, Cathy
Nutt, Janice Martin, Robert Nutt,

Clemmons officiating.
Burial was in Crawford Cem-
etery under the direction of Bailey
and Foster Funeral Home of Pal-
estine.
Mr. Fitzgerald died Dec. 24 in a
Palestine hospital. He was born
Nov. 23,1907, in Anderson County
to the late Hugh E. (Bud) and
Minnie Bell Richardson
Fitzgerald. He was a retired school-
Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of
the Elkhart First United Method-
ist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Orell
Mays Fitzgerald of Palestine; two
sons the Rev. Dr. Gary Fitzgerald
of Chandler and the Rev. Dr. Randy
Fitzgerald of Alto; and a brother,
John A. Fitzgerald.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church

tion of Thompson Funeral Home
of Jacksonville.
Mrs. Wilburn died Dec. 21 in
Tyler hospital. She was born June
27, 1917, in Abilene, and was a
lifelong Dialville resident. She was
a homemaker and a member of the
Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are four sons, Melvin
Monroe (Junior) Wilburn of
Dialville, Frankie Wilburn ofRusk,
Ronnie Wilburn of Maydelle and
Steve Wilburn of Gladewater; eight
daughters, Jerri Hurt and Karen

Bob Galbert of Washington D.C.
and Jay Galberi of Del Rio; two
sisters, Jody Beckett of New
Mexico and Mary Baty of Clyde; a
special friend, Bill Dickerson of
Jacksonville; 40 grandchildren; 56
great-grandchildren; two great-
great-grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
Sons-in-law and grandsons
served as pallbearers.

11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at

Mr. Hambrick died Dec. 27 in a
Lufkin hospital.
He was born May 3, 1931, in
Angelina County to the late Ernest
and Nora Dunn Hambrick. He was
a self-employed drywall contrac-
tor and a member of the Assembly
of God Church and the Veterans of
Bill Hambrick
Foreign Wars. He was an Angelina
County resident most of his life.
He formerly lived in Bonham.
Survivors are two daughters,
Brenda Harlen of Brazoria and
Deby Morris of Freeport; a son,
Billy Wayne Hambrick of Tennes-
see Colony; two sisters, Dorotha
Field of Huntington and Doris
Waller of Diboll; a brother, Jack
Hambrick of Flint; his wife,
Geraldine Hambrick; seven grand-
children; three great-grandchil-
dren; and several nieces, nephews
and other relatives.

Funeral for Estelle Byers, 74, of
Forest was at 11 a.m. Monday in
the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Trampus
Black and the Rev. Bobby King
officiating. Burial was in the
Arnold Cemetery.
Mrs. Byers died Saturday in
Jacksonville. She was born May
18,1924, in Jacksonville to Charlie
and Vee Miller Jones. She Was a
retired supervisor at the Lufkin
State School and a member of the
Wells Calvary Baptist Church. She
had lived most of her life in Forest.
She was preceded in death by a
brother, Frank Jones; and three
Byers
sisters, Faye Wilcox, Mozelle Rob-I
erts and Pauline Dunn.
Survivors are her husband, Jack |
