was at 2 p.m. Sunday in the
Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel
in Karnes City with the Rev.
Duane Farris officiating.
Burial was in Karnes City
Cemetery.
Mr. Winship was born April
7, 1917, in Stamford to the late
Robert and Juha Winship Sr.
He died April 25 at Hospice
of East Texas in Tyler after a
short illness.
He was a member of the
Presbyterian Church. He
was retired from the Federal
Aviation Administration after
•34 years of service. He had
resided near Jacksonville for
the past 26 years. He was an
avid amateur radio operator for
32 years holding the amateur
station call sign of W5BKM.
Survivors include his wife of
60 years, Willie Louise Lane
Winship of Jacksonville; a
daughter and son-in Jaw, Linda
and Ron Green of Rockdale; a
son and daughter-inJaw,
George and Nan Winship Jr. of
Gallatin; six grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
Grandsons serving as pall-
bearers were Jeremy Green,
Chris Green, Ronnie Green,
Nathan Winship, Andrew

Pollok Cemetery.
Mrs. Robertson died April
23. She was born Sept. 25,
1919. to George and Gertrude
Creel. Mrs. Robertson had
resided in Pollok for the past
60 years. She was a member of
the Pollok Baptist Church and
was a homemaker.
She was preceded i n death by
her husband, Claude E. Rob-
ertson: son, Kenneth Robertson
and her great-granddaughter.

Mr. Smith was born July 17,
1926, in Wells, the son of Vera
Bailey and Lonnie Edward
Smith. He died Tuesday, April
23, in a Lufkin hospital.
Mr. Smith was a self-
employed carpenter and had
been a Lufkin resident most of
his life. He was a member of the
Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Mr. Smith Was preceded in
death by a brother, Billy Tom
Smith.
Survivors are his wife, Wilma
Smith of Lufkin; four daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Margaret
and Dewayne Lowe of Lufkin.
