urday to a Kansas City syndicate,

sixteen hours a day, from 7 a m to
near midnight, working two shifts.
This company, which was organis-
ed six months ago, and recently be-
gun drilling, is progressing nicely,
being several hundred foot down.
The company is capitalised at
$150,000, and haa 5300 acres of leases
lying a few milee east of Kyle.
It owns its own rig, and its stock
1s held largely by home people, who
are sanguine of the success of their
venture.
Disinterested people, who have vis-
ited many other oil fields, say the
formation, topography and all sur-
face indications are the same as in
the Burkburnett, Ranger and other
Texas fields, and the drillers and
geologist report indication beneath
the surface excellent.
The company's geologist, Goo. C.
Tyler, assisted in the location of the
Northwest pool at Burkburnett, be-
side other wells in that section, and
a number in California.
He is one of the incorporator* of
the company and one of its largest
stockholders, putting not only his
time, but several thousand dollar* tn
cash into the proposition
Two years ago, while in California,
Mr. Tyler heard of this field, the
"Plumb Crook Valley,” and when he
came to Texas hunted It up, and
