By Rick McClain

The future of Rusk Eagles
football looks extremely bright.
The 8th grade A-team Eagles
moved one step closer to an
undefeated season Thursday
night, downing the Carthage
Bulldogs,28-6, in a close,
hard fought battle in Bulldog
stadium.
The young Eagles are
blessed with speed, size and
quickness.
Leading the attack is quar-
terback Justin Stearns.
Stearns is a very talented
young football player.
Lining up with Stearns are
running backs Sheldon John-
son and Gerald Attaway.
Blocking for the Eagle run-
ners is handled by Pax Richey,
Chris Walley, Ben Thompson,
Matthew Wilcox and Chris
Galan. Receivers include Eddie
Harris, Kyle Garner, John Jack-
son, Nathan Wallace, Brandon
Morris, Brent Jones and Ray
Jones.
Not to be outdone, the
defensive team has been just
as impressive,
The Eagles are very aggres-

Overall team speed is one of
the biggest assets these young
Eagles possess.
The Eagles defensive team
is led by Attaway, Thomp-
son, Justin Carvell, Johnson,
Harris, Galan and Jackson.
The next home game for
the Eagles will be against the
