the plaintiff, suit was filed Saturday asking that Texas
State Senator John Russell and his bondsmen be forced
to pay to the county $8,134.25, said to be due as excess fees
collected by Russell when he was district clerk.
The filing of the suit followed the visit to Austin of
County Attorney Dunnam and County Judge Starnes.
