Cobb Hill gospel singing
planned Feb. 28
Agospel singing and open microphone
will be held Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. at Cobb
Hill. Living Water and Friends and Soggy
Bottoms will aiso perform at the Gospel
Barn, which is located four miles south of
Alto and 7.5 miles north of Wells on U.S.
Highway 69 at the flashing sign. For more

School founder celebrates
birthday
Emma Tafolla Domínguez, one of
the founders of the Cherokee Counly
Christian School, celebrated her 80th
birthday in San Antonio, where she was
reared, at La Trinidad Methodist Church
on Valentine's Day.
A second celebration was held at the
Cherokee Christian Academy Feb. 23 at
6 p.m.
The school was also founded with her
son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and
Christine Domínguez.
The GTC All Stars competed in the American Cheer and Dance National Championships Jan. 31-Feb. 1 at the
Fort Worth Convention Center. GTC's senior open team, the Comets, earned a fifth place award.

GTC's co-ed team, the Shooting Stars, placed second in a national cheer and dance meet Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in Fort
Worth. Both the Comets and the Shooting Stars teams, along with GTC's Pee-Wee team, the LiP Dippers, will
compete April 10 at NCA's Six Flags competition.
