Holland road precinct' which ia up
near Rogers has given evidence of
appreciating good roads, but also
the fact that good roads can not
be kept good without maintenance
funds Bo Holland precinct citizens
called an election the other day and
voted a 15c road maintenance tax
on themselves, the proposstion being
carried by 49 votes over the neces-
sary two-thirgs majority, theft be-
ing 109 votes for and only 80 egainst
the tax. The tax win yield approxx
mately $12,000 a year, which may
only be used for road upkeep in
that road district. There are some
excellent roads in that sectlon.
