NEW MACHINE
Tournatow Unveiled
O N Friday, November 17th, the
R. G. LeTourneau Corp. unveiled
a machine which is destined to revise
thinking in the feld of heavy machin-
ery. The unveiling ceremonies took
place at the Edgewater Beach Hotel
in Chicago, Ill. Following a dinner
which was attended by several hun-
dred representatives of the press,
representatives of the Armed Services,
and interested parties from the Earth
Moving Industry; the new machine,
the TOURNATOW, was publicly
shown, for the first time. Three
TOURNATOWS were on hand and
were put through their paces. This
demonstration was so effective that
those present were astounded at the
performance of the new machine.
The TOURNATOW, w h i c h is
pictured on the front page of this issue
of NOW, will not go into commercial
production for some time. The pres-
ent version of the machine was de-
signed for the Air Force and is to be
