M. M. Society To Honor
Incoming Officers
The M. M. Society Country
Club will hold its annual inau-
gural banquet honoring the
new incoming president, offi-
cers and members of the board
of directors Sunday night at
Tony Vallone’s Sorrento Res-
taurant on Fannin at Bell.
The 'festivities will start
promptly at 7 p.m., and will
include dancing to the rhythm
of Johnnie Royal and his or-
chestra.
The new president of the
club, Sidney H. Krakower,
said that members should make
reservations with Mrs. Ray
Bromberg at LY-1692. The
price per couple is $6.50.
Officers of the club will be
officially installed at this ban-
quet.

IZFA ACTIVITIES
Following the initial meet-
ing of IZFA (the Intercollegi-
ate Zionist Federation of Amer-
ica) with approximately fifty
people in attendance, the next
meeting has been scheduled
for Tuesday, October 21, at,
8 p.m. The election of officers
and a talk on “Our Eastern
European Background” will
highlight the meeting.
Scheduled for Sunday is the
first session of the IZFA-Sr.
Judaea Israeli Song & Dance
Group meeting at the J. C.
Center, at 10 a.m.

WORKMEN’S CIRCLE
LADIES AUXILIARY
The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Workmen’s Circle will have a
Donor’s Luncheon on Wednes-
day, October 22, at 12:30, at
the Lyceum, 1910 Bell. Ave-
nue. Admission will be by a
pledge or donation to the Child
Adoption Fund.
Mrs. Jos. Kessler and Mrs.
R. Gardner are in charge of
arrangements.
Jacob Levin will be the
guest speaker. His topic is
“Adult Education.’’

PLANS HALLOWEEN FROLIC
Fun and frolic, surprises,
buffet refreshments, games,
skits, bingo and dancing will
be in the line-up for the forth-
coming Halloween Party sched-
uled by the Brotherhood of
Temple Emanu El. Dean Mey-
ers, program chairman, an-
nounced that the monthly Bro-
therhood meeting will be de-
voted to this gala social func-
tion. Members and their friends
are invited to bring their wives,
girl friends, mothers, and the
entire adult portion of their
families.
The party will take place
Thursday evening, October 30,
/ in Feld Hall, a 24-hour head
start on the “Trick or Treat"
fiesta. “And there will be loads
of tricks and treats for all,
young and old,” said Mr. Mey-
ers in making the announce-
ment.
There will be no charge to
Brotherhood members in good
standing. Guests and members
who are not paid up in their
current dues will be charged
$1.00. Members are urged to
pay their dues NOW and be
the GUESTS of the Brother-
hood on October 30. Your
1952 membership card will
serve as your free admission
ticket to the big party.

MIAMI (JTA)—First Lieut
Max Nussenbaum of this city
has been awarded the Silver
Star and the Bronze Star med-
als for heroism in .action in
Korea, it was reported here
and in an action wiped ent an
enemy patrol without loss to
his platoon.
A graduate of the University
of Miami Law School, Nussen-
baum was a paratrooper in
World War II and served in the
European theatre.
