The World Maccabi Union an-
nounced that Jerusalem, for the
first time, would play host to the
Maccabiah Games. The all-Jewish
sports event will take place in the
newly-united city in 1969.

pionships. . . . Mauri Ross was
elected to the Auto Racing Hall

Sue Hardy was named to the
women’s All-America trapshoot-
ing team, and Nehemia Sirkis won
a shooting for Israel at the Asian
Games. . . . Mark Cohn won gold,
silver and bronze gymnastic med-
als for the U.S. at the Pan-Am
Games, and Steven Cohen retain-
ed his NCAA gymnastic title.
