engagement of their daughter, Leah, to Ronald Lane Braunfeld, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Braunfeld of Bethpage, N.Y. A December
wedding is planned.
Miss Bogos, who is on the Hebrew School Staff of Cong. Beth
Yeshurun, is a candidate for an education degree from the Univer-
sity of Houston. Mr. Braunfeld received his Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and his Master's of
Business Administration from Columbia University where he was
elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, National Honor Society. He is a
financial analyst for Humble Oil & Refining Co. in Baytown.

Dan Kern was one of this area’s
175 among the national 14,000
semi-finalists in the National Merit
Scholarship Contest. These stu-
dents represent less than 1 per
cent of the top secondary school
seniors in the United States. Dan
spent six weeks during summer
vacation at a voluntary SSTP pro-
gram at Stevens Institute of Tech-
nology, Hoboken, N.J., and grad-
uated with honors. He attends Bel-
laire Senior High School, and is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H.
Kern, 4402 Tonawanda Drive.
