The regular meeting of Court
St. Elizabeth, Nd. 1616, Catholic
Daughters of America was held
last Tuesday evening, March 10.
A nice attendance was on hand
with Mrs. Annie Marusik, Grand
Regent, presiding.. .
The first important item of
business was whether the Court
would increase its mortuary
benefit to the full amount allow-
ed. A unanimous vote approved
this measure.
The Court also approved of
helping the Catholic P. T. C. to
co-sponsor a girl to Bluebonnet
Girl’s State in Austin in June.
Notes of thanks were read
from the winners in the Poetry
Contest.
The 5 member nominating
committee was elected. They are
Mesdames Mary Hradil, Bessie
Russ, Molly Dierschke, Ivy Kon-
vicka and Annie Tauber. They
will present a slate of officer
candidates in the April meet-

Walther League
Meet; Make Plans
For Spring Rally
The monthly meeting of the
Trinity Lutheran Walther
League was held Sunday, March
22 at the Parish Hall. The devo-
tions were given by Marlene
Schulke followed by the topic
on Lutheran Churches in the
slums of large cities, by Terry
Ashorn. During the business
meeting the spring rally was
discussed and Marilyn Hoppe
was appointed to gather talent
for the talent quest to be held
at the rally. The Sealy League
was asked to present a topic at
the monthly meeting of the
Katy League. The meeting was
followed by games, led by
Wayne Ashorn, and refresh-
ments served by the league
sponsors.

After Meeting
The W. S. C. S. social was
held March 18th at 3:00 p.m.
in the educational building.
Mrs. J. C. Boyd was in charge
of the Easter program, two
hymns were sung, “Beneath
Louis Divin, chapter scholarship; Glenn
Kreitz, farm safety; Miss Ulrich; Pat
Grigar, farm mechanics award; Robert
Adams, Star Green Hand placque; Vic-
tor Eder, Livestock award and Syl
Macha, crop farming, Louis Divin alse
won the star chapter award.
