which had been assigned to him.
The morning program was
highlighted by a very wonderful
address by Dr. John King, Dean
of Huston-Tillotson College,
Austin. In his message he told
the students that the door of op-
portunity is unlocked, though
not open, and that young people
would have to venture out and
pursue means of opening the
door by taking advantage of the
opportunities that heretofore
have not been available to them.
He further stated that “Our
Changing World" demands In-
formed citizens, in view of the
many advances in science. Ours
has become a “push-button” so-
ciety bringing people the world
over in close proximity to each
other. It is important that stu-
dents keep abreast of the times
through reading, listening, and
learning, for although the world
