BARANOWSKI REUNION
HELD SUNDAY
Baranowski family reunion
was held at Bellville on June 7th
with a nice attendance. A chick-
en barbecue dinner and supper
was served with a dance in the
evening.
There will be another reunion
on the first Sunday in June,
1965.

Begin Monday
Red Cross Swimming lessons
will begin Monday, June 15 with
registration at 9:00 a.m. at the
Bellville pool for all ages. There
will be three groups, beginners,
intermediate and life saving
classes. Beginners must have
completed the first grade.
Mrs. John C. Gosler and John
Mikeska, Jr. will be the instruct-
ors.
Julius J. Masarik went to the
Veterans Hospital in Houston
Thursday for a cataract opera-
tion on his eye.

ents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis D. Sli-

Jim Tesar and his sweet mama

Dutch’s Rodeo in Nelsonville.

Blinn Wins
Blinn College of Brenham won
the Texas Junior College Ath-
letic Conference Championship
by defeating Panola Junior Col-
lege of Carthage, Texas in a two
out of three series.
Next Blinn College defeated
Amarillo College in two out of
three games for the South West
region championship of the Na-
tional Junior College Athletic
Conference, and the right to
participate in the National Tour-
nament at Grand Junction, Colo-
rado.
The Blinn Buccaneers also
won the Texas Junior College
Athletic Conference Track
Championship and placed third
in the National Junior College
Athletic Conference.
Last fall, they were ranked
eighth nationally in football and
placed second in the Texas Jun-
ior College Athletic Conference
with an 8-2 season.

MRS. SAXTON VACATIONS
Mrs. Mary Frances Saxton ar-
rived home Sunday after an 8
day vacation trip to two western
states, New Mexico and Colo-1
rado. She was a house guest of
। Capt. and Mrs. R. L. Scroggins
in New Mexico. The trio toured
the Aztec Ruins and saw Ship
Rock in New Mexico. In Colo-
rado they saw Chimney Rock
and snow capped mountains, and
toured Piedra Park, San Juan.
