U.S.C.G. Academy
Entrance Exams
Begin December 5
Congressman Clark W.
Thompson today announced that
, the annual competition for en-
trance to the U. S. Coast Guard
Academy will commence with
the December 5, administration
of the College Entrance Exami-
nation Board Tests. These ex-
aminations will be given in over
3,000 test centers.
Thompson emphasized the op-
portunity offered qualified
। young men who choose this
four-year course which leads to
a commission as a career offi-
cer in America’s oldest continu-
ous seagoing Armed Service and
a Bachelor of Science degree.

nations tied with aqua satin rib-
bon,

girl, was dressed like the bride,
her gown being of peau de sole. ,
Doyle Warren was best man.
and groomsmen were Richard
Small, David Hauschild and
Steve Akin. Mark Allen Galler |
served as ringbearer, and Rob-
ert Bednarski and Johnny Gan-
ske were ushers and candlelight-
ers.
Mrs. Charles Winkelman, sis-
ter of the bride, registered the
guests.
The bride’s mother wore a two ,
piece dress of aqua georgette
with matching accessories and
white carnation corsage. The
grom’s mother chose a beige lace i
over linen dress with matching I
accessories and a white carna- .
tion corsage.
The reception followed at the
educational building where the
bride’s table held a three tiered
circular cake scalloped around
the bottom of each tier, and top-
ped with the traditional bridal
couple, under which were con-
cealed the names of the bride
and groom. Sugar bells and
roses decorated the cake, the
layers of which were on tall
columns and trimmed with a
shell effect on top.
For their trip to Houston and
Galveston, the bride selected a
white amel suit trimmed in
pink with pink blouse, white ac-
