Here’s an entirely new service from Houston Lighting & Power Company — modern
mercury vapor protective lighting that's unlike, any other lighting service ever offered here!
It guards your property against theft and vandalism, guards you and your family against
accidents and injuries!
For only $3.50 a month. Houston Lighting and Power Company will install a Guard Lite
on an existing utility pole. The powerful mercury vapor lamp is controlled by the sun. At dusk,
the Guard Lite automatically turns itself on, then shuts itself off at dawn.
The Guard Lite is not connected to your meter, and the small monthly fee pays all costs
for use of the Guard Lite, including installation, operating costs and maintenance.

dressed identically in royal blue
embroidered peau de sole, street

wore circular headpieces and

East Bernard, and groomsmen
were Johnny Polasek, Henry
Holub, Jimmy Trlicek of Hous-

of the bride and Walter Divin,

of the C. D. of A. and Mrs.
Mary Christine Higgins of Gal-
veston, district deputy of her
area. Both gave very interesting
talks. Mrs. Schoppe also showed
color slides that she took at the
National Convention in Florida
in July. There were pictures of
the various supreme officers, of
Cardinal Cushing, and of the
Texas delegation (among them
both guest speakers, also our
state regent, Miss Loretta Kne-
bel and Mrs. Krampitz.)
The courtroom was neatly ar-
ranged in the prescribed man-
l ner. The head table, Blessed
Mother's altar and the serving
table were graced with arrange-

flect the purple and gold, the
colors of the order. A back-
ground of greenery on the stage
was a perfect setting for the
Fatima tableau of the seminar.
