to Wallis for their annual pa-
rade and barbecue. The follow-
ing Saturday they go to Band
Dav. This year the different
bands that were invited to the
event can just relax and eniov 1
the game at Rice Stadium be-
tween the University of Hous-
ton and Penn State.
After this pleasure trim, the
next Saturday is the marching
contest at Katy. The band has
been working hard all year and
this is a test of their ability. Af-
ter the marching is over the
bandsters who desire can start
practicing for district band con-1
test at Brazosport on Decem-'
her 12. With a lot of hard work
it is hoped to place a lot in the '
district band.
The band will lead Santa on
December 19, for the annual
Christmas parade. Then the
last of the 1964 band events ,
will be the Christmas concert ■
and party on the 21st of Dec- 1
ember.
